Whew. Thank goodness I don't live in Boston where the weatherman stopped bothering with inches and started talking in feet. Worcester didn't fare that badly, but I did literally have to dig out my car. Roomie #1 helped, so then I reciprocated. And then I made a snow angel in the park--the Latino family digging out their car thought I was nuts.
But I love snow! :-)
I think I have to go to work tomorrow. There's still a state of emergency declared, and K doesn't have to work because she's a state employee. And Roomie #1 doesn't have to work because her schedule is tied to the school.
But I do have an appointment to look at an apartment on Monday, so I'm OK with going to work. The apartment is in Jamaica Plain which is where I want to live. The rent includes heat (hooray!), and there's a washer and dryer in the building. I'm not sure--judging from the phonecall--how I feel about my possible future roommate. But I'm not going to come to any conclusions until I meet her in person.
And, also on the apartment front: I got a return email from another prospective roommate/room. Another great situation with good rent and heat included, yeehaw! :-)
Side note: How much do I love Desperate Housewives, Lost, and Boston Legal? If you're not watching them, you should be!
