A Deep and Profound Title

I feel that on this first day of 2006 I should reflect back on the year that was and peer into the mists of the year ahead. But I've been busy and haven't gotten around to either one yet.

But I did make a sailboat with my Origami-A-Day calendar (tomorrow: a swan). Actually I made five sailboats. I am now prepared to attack any paper flotilla that comes to attack my room.

So one thing I'll learn this year: origami.

I shall continue my recently aquired hobby of crocheting (you know, because you can never have enough hobbies involving yarn and phrases like "check your guage" and "yarn over.").

I shall view smart movies and documentaries that make me think.

I shall save money for my Habitat trip to Africa or another country in need of housing. (But first I need a passport).

Oh, who am I kidding? We all know I'm just avoiding the "I will exercise more, eat less, and lose weight" perennial mantra of New Years.

I will be thoughtful and reflect seriously on 2005 and continue charting my windy path way of my life, but right now I just really need to do laundry. Really need to do laundry. Lots and lots of laundry.
