To quote Eddie Izzard: "I have techno-joy!"
You can imagine my glee, then, when I opened up a birthday present (wrapped in Christmas paper, ahem) and found an ipod shuffle. Talk about the best boyfriend ever! (Well, the best boyfriend ever would let me run away with Heath Ledger to Wyoming, but that's another post for another time--see yesterday for the full story.)
I spent over FIVE hours in front of my laptop (perched ever so comfortably on my bed, hooray for laptops) transferring music to from my CD collection to my itunes. (Aside: I have a lot of CD's. This may seem an obvious statement for the owner of said collection to make, but it was kind of surprising to me. I mean, I loaded up over 700 songs onto my computer, but I barely dented my hoard).
What did I load onto my ipod? A lot of Travis and also a lot of David Gray. A couple of albums each of The Shins, The Doves, and Turin Brakes. Also included: The Polyphonic Spree, Silverchair, Stereophonics, and Rooney.
Things are quickly becoming familiarly hectic at work.... in fact, I must go now.

Neato! Ipod shuffle!
And, if you send me your new address, I've got a belated Christmas/birthday present that is looking forward to seeing some snow in MA. And, not to spoil things, it includes some CDs. And if I'm not too busy this weekend, I'll burn some of the CDs I've picked up this week...I haven't even gotten to listen to Howl from the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club yet, but I liked it on the radio. Rockin'!
