The JP Knitters

I just had to report that the first session of the JP Knitters went really well! There were ten knitters there (and I was probably one of the least experienced), and we took up the whole large wooden table at the front of Emack & Bolio's. I tore myself away from the group after an hour and a half because I had to go home and get ready for Valentines Day (presents to wrap at the last minute, etc), but people stayed even after I left. I even had one knitter email me this morning to thank me for putting it all together!

I report this not to pat myself on the back (although, let's face it, I'm quite fabulous) but to share my glee that I started a knitting group! Wow. And everyone enjoyed it, and it was just as friendly and chatty as I had hoped. Two other knitters noted how much nicer this group was than another knitting group (I'll leave it unnamed) that they attended. I think these skilled knitters will help propel me into more advanced projects (like mittens or even a sweater!).

I can't wait for next Monday.
