When I signed on to Google this morning, one of the headlines - courtesy of ABC News - read "Cheney's Irregular Heartbeat a Worrying Sign."
Am I a bad person because his irregular heartbeat doesn't worry me at all? And, in fact, actually made me smirk?
While Cheney's death would be shocking - it would be akin to the Terminator actually being destroyed beyond the capacity for another sequel - I would not mourn. I would not sniffle. I would not experience a second of sadness.
Does that make me a bad person?

Has someone by the name of Isaac Goldstein been here?
I don't think it makes you a bad person, it makes you human.
It would be shocking if he did die, and I think a lot of people, his family included, would be sad. I would feel for his family, and I would celebrate internally for the country.
I think there is a difference between not feeling sad about someones death who you disagree with on many levels, including politically, and not feeling bad about someone who you just generally don't like, for instance Paris Hilton or someone. If you feel morally that Cheney is a bad individual, than I don't think it's any worse than being happy someone like Bin Laden is dead, if you feel the same about him.
But that's just my two cents. I think it shows that you are a responsible individual to post such a question, for it's a moral and ethical question for all.
