Friday and Saturday night I cat-sat for Max, the fluffy black-and-white wonder cat. Saturday was pretty laid back and involved laundry, knitting, and walk around the pond with Jon (looking for turtles, of course). Then we went to Doyle's the laidback, old-school pub on Washington Street in JP. It's deliciously unpretentious.
Sunday we awoke to sunshine and strong winds. Instead of canoeing, we opted to weed the garden (I bribe Jon to do this with the idea of finding interesting bugs ... works every time) and then caught a matinee of Prairie Home Companion. It's a good flick, but if you have a pathological hatred of the mandolin, this is not the movie for you. Best part: the bad joke song by Dusty and Lefty, singing cowboys (Woody Harrelson and John C. Reilly). And Lindsay Lohan's performance (she holds her own against Meryl Streep) makes you wonder a new at her usual stupidity off screen.
And now I'm blogging .... and because I've caught up with the present, I've run out of things to blog about.
... ahem ...
... yeah ...
hmmm
Kind of embarassing .... I guess I'll go now ....

I like western movies, so I went to the store and rented one and it was about two cowboys in love. And they were both men. It should have been in the horror section, because it was very scary. I do not think it was a true story. Homosexuals only live in Massachussetts and Vermont.
I thought that was a great movie! And remember: Heath Ledger is hot.
Jake Gyllenhall is the hot one. He's Jewish, you know.
