No, Really?

Jon Stewart is funny.

I know, not exactly news, but what can I say? After the absolute nighmare of getting to the Wang Center ("sounds more like a alternative healing center for your wang") Stewart was absolutely great. From our seats in the second balcony he looked about two inches tall, but even from our hight and distance, you could tell what fun he was having.

The best line of the night: "I suddenly realized that Bush talks to us the way we talk to stupid people. Bush thinks we're stupid." You know, when you think about it, it's true. The simple sentences, the way he repeats himself. It's the way you try and explain something complicated to a child. Oy.

I also had a good time on Saturday with set construction for the next Footlight Theater production: The Fully Monty. Stanley, Jon, and I built to frames for murphy bed-type fixtures (easy transition from bedroom scene to non-bedroom scenes. Ah... clever).

So, if I ever end up in a crowded studio apartment, I could build my own murphy bed. Rock! Would it be really pretty? No. But it would work.

I love power tools.
