The Downside of Landing My New Job

I'm so sad!

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled about my new job with the Committee to End Elder Homelessness.

But I'm sad.... I just called Horizons for Homeless Children to tell them that I can no longer fit being a PAL into my schedule.

Sniffle.

It was worse calling the shelter, especially since I won't even be able to go tonight because my co-PAL can't be there (thanks a lot, pal!). So, I'm going to go say good-bye to "my kids," but I'm holding back tears just thinking about it. I've been with them for a year.... they've grown so much! N & L can talk and use the "potty" now.... they're just learning so much so fast! And D is just about walking! She's just so adorable now.
