Bed Bath and Beyond website--for
work, I swear!--trying to find information about gift registries when I stumbled upon their glossary. It's really very enlightening. Normally I would keep this nerdy past time to myself (because, really, I am so discrete when I write in this thing--or should it be "when I write
on this thing?), but I came across a definition that was too good to keep to myself:
VELLUX: A thick, soft synthetic for blankets. Nylon fibers bonded to foam insulate well but do not offer breathability. (Also called a hotel blanket.)

hotel blanket! Such vindication. See, it's not just me holding on to childish vocabulary. It's in the BB&B glossary.
