Eeww that smell

Lately, interesting smells have been circulating throughout the basement at work. There are smells upstairs, but they are usually short lived and more pleasant. On garbage day there is the smell of trash, but that goes away as soon as the trash gets to the curb. This morning I was greeted by the aroma of strong coffee coming from the activities room - the elders love their coffee.

But the basement rarely is graced with anything so pleasant as coffee. On trash day the smell lingers much longer until maintanence has time to mop the floor around the elevator (where they take up the trash). The conference room often smells strongly of lemon pledge (a little too strongly, really). A few weeks ago we swore there was the smell of gas. Last week something - or probably several somethings - died somewhere, leaving us with a strong odor. That smell lingers on even today, and has been added to be by a UWO - unidentified waffing odor.

I can't wait until it's lunch and I can escape into some fresh air.
