Wicked Smart

First off, for those who have never heard someone from MA say the phrase "wicked smart," it sounds something like "wicked sma-ht" (no "r").

Anyway, tonight Jon and I are venturing to the Museum of Science for a free lecture entitled "Warped Passages: The Mystery of Other Dimensions."

Then, next Friday, I will be attending a special showing of the new film Memoirs of a Geisha at the Brattle in Cambridge with special guests Arthur Golden (the author) and Lucy Fisher (the producer). This is not free, but the Brattle needs money badly, and it's worth it at any rate.

Work is a joy again. I still get excited every time I work only eight hours--straight 9 to 5--with no early mornings or late nights or mini-breakdrowns. It's so very pleasant.

Christmas is in the air, and I love it, as always. And this year I'll have a real, live Christmas tree! Hooray! My roomie and I are going this weekend to buy one from a church fundraiser (because if you're going to waste money on a tree, the money might as well go to a good cause).

OK, time to work.
