Yikes

It's my first day back since Christmas break (which was wonderful, hooray), and I thought I would get ahead by working on the grant application due January 15. Well, I've run into a slight problem: I can't find it.

ARGH!

Now, technically, I passed that on to someone else to keep safe and sound, but still... this is what happens when I try and delegate responsiblity. See, it is really better for me to be the development Nazi and have tight control of everything. Otherwise things like grant applications get lost.

Imagine the conversation if I call the church (in this case, it's a grant application to a church foundation)....

"Hello, Ms. Grant Administrator? This Jennifer Hibbard calling from Hearth. Yes, I'm sorry to say we lost the grant application you so kindly sent to us a month ago. Could you possibly send us a new one, and also not hold it against us? Thanks so much."

Talk about being immediatly black-listed from a grant! That's a good way not to get $3000.

Oh boy, it's gotta be around here somewhere...

I think that you should come to my synagogue and have some wine and we can discuss a grant. Jon can't come, though.

(sorry, I just missed you. Happy Hanukkah.)
