I have been happily busy this week with work (the new grant writer started: hooray!) and organizing the JP Knitters (fun: hooray!) and talking about--but not quite making--plans for Valentine's Day with Jon (love: hooray!).
I'm very excited about starting the knitting group. We're going to meet Monday at Emack & Bolio's (where I will knit and drink tea but not partake of their fabulous ice cream because I am getting in shape, or so I claim).
I'm organizing the group with the help of JP Neighbors for Neighbors which is a really cool group all about socializing and promoting action. Instead of just talking about that thing you've always wanted to do, with JPNFN, you can actually find the people to do it with you (like, I don't know, a rock climbing group or organizing a food drive or something even more creative). I'm so psyched.
At work I'm helping settle in "the new girl" and put together a mailing about Medicare-D (D for disaster!) and how great are staff has been handling everything. Ugh. Trying to summerize Medicare-D is like trying to write the condensed version of War & Peace (and far less interesting).
And now..... work.
