Weekend Plans

As much as I love my job (and I do, although since I mostly complain about it in this blog, you might not realize it), I love my life outside of work more.

I mean, let's tally it up:

A fabu apartment w/ a very regal and loving cat (and tolerant roommates)
My marvelous JP neighborhood (filled with fun, interesting people and lots of ice cream)
My new gym (Mike's Fitness--to visit after eating said ice cream)
Knitting (to keep me distracted from eating ice cream in the first place)
Reading (also a good distraction, and can be done in bed)
Music (Hiromi, Arctic Monkeys)
Jon
Kelly, Kelly, and Kelley (and Kelli if you count my hair stylist)
Lori and Laura (in no particular order)
Family (the whole crazy lot)
digital camera (and 1gig memory card!)
ipod shuffle (hello eight hours of fun)
comfortable bed (also eight hours of fun)
food (Thai, Indian, Italian, Veggie Burgers, and Ethiopian, don't forget that... and pancakes, hmmm)
Email (writing and receiving, ahem, people)
Wait, Wait ... Don't Tell Me
Bleak House
Pride & Prejudice (the mini-series, of course)
All movies containing Carry Grant or Gene Kelly (or, in an ideal world, both)

I could go on and on (obviously).

Tomorrow I get to add Richard Lewis to the list. Yes, Jon and I are going to see a "real" comedian in a "real" comedy club. This will be a first for me. And this mere days after finally viewing "The Aristocrats" documentary. And let me tell you, if you don't mind lots of swearing and perversion, it's a great film. Go watch it, now. This post will wait... believe, me, this whole blog (and most of the internet) will not entertain you (or make you squirm) as much as one minute of "The Aristocrats" will.

We also had a chance to George Carlin, but he's literally twice as expensive, and so we're happily "settling" for Richard Lewis (The Poor Man's George Carlin ... meant as a huge compliment. Also, Richard Lewis has much more dynamic hair, which is tremendously important).

Right now I have to go get ready. I'm catching the green line to er, some station at the end of the "D" line so I can meet up with Jon and we can go to Providence for college hockey. And then maybe some Mexican food... I'm feeling Mexican right now (ole).
