Something to Write Home About

Today I helped shovel a pile of "beautiful" compost at the community garden.

My roommate/garden coordinator was so excited about the project. "Isn't it exciting?"

"I'll write home about it" I said drily, gulping down copious amounts of iced coffee (and water too, don't worry Mom). I also did some weeding and took some photos of our "mini-gardeners" (a.k.a children of gardeners) playing in the splash fountain at the near-by playground.

A good time all around.

This afternoon Jon and I watched "Wet Hot American Summer" which is a fabulously crazy movie that I highly recommend.

OK, I'm going to play Katamari Damaci while sitting in front of a fan.
