I swear to God that I wrote a post about the art cows in Boston this summer, but I searched my blog and found nothing. Weird.
Anyway, I am super excited because, yes, there are cows in Boston!!! I was first introduced to the phenomenon of Cow Parade in Luxembourg City back in the spring of 2001. My friend Kelley and I used the cows as our way of exploring the city. If we spotted a cow we'd never seen before, that's the way we headed. It was great.
I'm also very excited about the contest on Hey Let's Go: Cow Safari. And, for every cow picture uploaded to the site, $1 is donated to the Jimmy Fund. I know what I'm doing this weekend! (in between rain storms, that is). There's even an interactive cow map, showing where to find cows, and also which ones are still unphotographed (on the site, anyway).
And for all my friends and family back in Wisconsin, do not despair! Madison has also been overrun with cows this summer.
Other places around the world with being visited by Cow Parade include: Paris, Edinburgh (Lori and Matt -- take photos for me!), Lisbon, Athens, Buenos Aires, Mexico, Telemark (in Norway ... I had to look it up), and Belo Horizonte (in Brazil ... had to look that one up too).
I was downtown yesterday and saw a few of the cows. They're boo-tiful. I didn't have my camera with me, though, so I'll have to go back.
On the work front: I've been very busy re-organizing and archiving historical information about the organization and homelessness on a local and national level. It's really quite interesting.
OK, enough goofing off. Back to the archives!

The cow parade is also hitting MADISON WISCONSIN this summer, which I am totally going to in July. Plus I'll get to see Art on the Square. Rhyming is fun!
I mentioned Madison, Wisconsin, thank you very much! You didn't read my post very carefully ... and you call yourself an English major! :-)
And I was just about to ask what we were doing this weekend...
Moo?
Hehehe....I need to check out your blog more. Kelley emailed me about the cows today but she was actually two days behind! I find it amusing that I live in Wisconsin, but will be looking for cows in Edinburgh. Kind of like how we went to the Denver Zoo to feed parrots... Don't worry, pictures will be in adbundance!
