I spent the last hour awash in nostalgia: Former President Bill Clinton was the special guest on Talk of the Nation for the entire hour. He sounds so much more reasonable and eloquent than our current commander in chief (I cannot wait for the day Bush becomes "The Former President Bush"). Those were the days...
Not that he was flawless. Welfare reform left much to be desired and then we--the whole world--was regrettably absent during the Rwandan Genocide.
But oh was it good to hear his voice. He better recover and stop all this heart trouble business, because when Jimmy Carter is gone, we need Bill to march on (I certainly don't want Bush marching on. I want him to go back to his ranch and clear brush for the rest of his life).
